A couple weeks ago I blogged briefly about the Red Wing Pottery Company of Red Wing, Minnesota. My neighbor, Ginny of Antiques by Ginny brought a rare piece over to share with me yesterday. It is a 20# (pound) butter crock, the largest they made. As you know, most crocks are marked a certain volume, usually gallons. This piece is flawless except for a tiny factory blem on the bottom of the back. No chips or cracks. It is 11 1/4 in diameter x 7 3/4 deep. It is available for purchase here
