Do you know the origin of Mad Magazine icon Alfred E. Newman?

In 1928 A.E. Mitchell Art Company of Los Angeles, California came out with this grinning boy plaster plaque that said "Me Worry?". They also made it in a cast aluminum version. The piece went on to become the model for Alfred E. Newman and his famous saying "What Me Worry?". Now you know.
