One of the most frequently asked questions we hear at the shop is "what can I start a collection of that is fun, obsolete and AFFORDABLE?" One of my answers is vintage ashtrays. They cross lots of collecting areas including advertising, kitsch, art pottery, tobacciana, travel and tourism, entertaining, gaming and boozing. What fun to have a smoke and ponder where the ashtray has been its whole life.
