KITSCH ?
Believe or not, every tacky, schmaltzy, thing you ever saw in the 1950's and 1960's is popular with collectors these days. Not to be confused with shabby chic, kitschiness manifests itself in housewares, appliances, knick knacks, figurines, toasters, napkin holders, toothpick holders, barware, TV lamps and bedroom stuff too. The schmaltzier the better seems to be the trend.
